I am a 4th/5th grade teacher in an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classroom at The Neighborhood School in NYC. My interests lie in the role of play, particularly in Project Time, which I came to know during my eight years at Central Park East 1 Elementary. It was there with my colleagues and students, that we played with the potential of Project Time to create a space and time in the classroom to enable us— students and teachers, to realize and build our capacities as learners, workers and people. In May 2016, I co-published an article with a parent of a former student entitled "Re-Envisioning the Classroom: Making Time for Students and Teachers to Play". It is this work that I now continue to play with and evolve with my colleagues at the Neighborhood School.
